WARM UP! But before you do any strenuous exercise, STRETCH! Rotate your arms, stretch out your rhomboids, and do a few regular pullups before you start your muscle up training. First, stand about a foot behind the actually pullup bar. Jump JUST enough so that the palms of your hands can grab the bar. Your body should naturally swing forward just a bit. DO NOT jump too much like this. After you swing forward, your body will automatically swing backward. This is when you pull yourself upward like this. When you pull yourself upward while your body is moving backward, explode upward, bring your chest FORWARD so that you’re body is in a DIP position, and then use your triceps like in a dip to push yourself up. If you want to continue doing muscle ups after your first one, simply bring yourself down so that your body is in an angle, giving yourself enough momentum to swing backward and then upward into the dip position. I bent my legs in this video for assist. I just got back from the gym (biceps triceps and legs -__-) so I was pretty beat. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
Paraplegic T.3/4 complete. Doing a transfer from wheelchair to showerchair these are the shower chairs used at www.sunnyrothvillas.com
Stretch & Pop (21:19) My thigh muscles are getting tight which isn’t affecting me right now but I want to catch it before it gets worse. I shuffle forward on my bed so my legs are dangling and lie back to feel the muscles stretch, my lifeless feet dangling. I move onto my stomach for a stretch and lift myself up on my arms before transferring to the floor and attempting to crawl and get on all fours. I want to show off my new floor to chair transfer so I drag myself across the floor, dead legs trailing behind me. It’s better for my knees to cross my legs and scoot across the carpet. By my chair I can’t get my legs to stay bent to do my lift so I try tying them together before getting a pair of shoes brought to me. That works and I deftly swing into my chair, wobbling to get upright and get my legs into position. I wheel down the hall and transfer onto the floor and back into my chair from two different angles then top it off with a super wheelie!
